My Travel Blog - Our Australian & Indian Adventures - 2016/2017
Having not had a cough, cold or sore throat for as long as I can remember, I woke up this morning at 3am, coughing, with one working nostril & a throat full of razor blades! Typical... I'm just hoping that with the help of some paracetamol, a bottle of albas oil & a giant box of tissues, this nasty germ will have disappeared back to germland by Wednesday, otherwise for Lee & I and anyone in my vicinity these plane journeys are going to feel very, very long!

Finished (absolutely) the last shoot of the year today, now off to have an early Christmas dinner with the family, I'm really going to miss them all but exciting adventures are nearly upon us! One day of editing left to do tomorrow then it's time to pack :)
Couldn't resist buying a little nature cam to capture any Ozzie night visitors whilst we're sleeping! It's got video and still mode & can't wait to use it now :)
Lunch out with Lee & Nan today, Friday, 1 Christmas party, Sat, 1 new born baby shoot, 1 housewarming, 1 pre-Christmas get-together, Sunday, 1 anniversary shoot & 1 early Christmas dinner, Monday, the dentists & lots of editing, Tuesday the hairdressers & lots of stressing!!
Weds - we're off!!
This time next week we will be sat by our bags waiting for Amy our taxi driver to arrive! She's promised us she won't oversleep but I'm giving her an alarm call just in case!
My cousin Helen bought us VIP lounge tickets for the airport for our engage present so we want to make sure we're they're extra early to enjoy the treats (comfy sofas, free wine (bit early but hey ho, we're on holiday!) plus we get loaded onto the plane first so less of that 'excuse me, excuse me' as you fight your way up the aisle and knocking people on the head when you attempt to get your hand luggage full of camera equipment up into the overhead compartment situation' to deal with so really looking forward to that!
Strangely this week I had a new customer, Bev, from Perth order a photo shoot voucher for her family in Malvern & it turns out she works literally on route to Lees family so we're going to stop off there for a coffee with her :)
Some more loose ends to tie up at work today and lunch out with my friend Sal up from Cornwall then a goodbye night with my friend Deb this evening followed by the first of 7 more sleeps!
It's feeling more real by the day :)

Another day closer & some more jobs crossed off the list! Just received back my last wedding of the year's album & it's gorgeous, can't wait to give it to the bride & groom next week. Two lots of family photos printed & sent & a load of corporate images Dropboxed to the client. Final day of photo shoots on Saturday & once they've been edited, that's it for me til next year! The last week will be spent focused on our little jolly :)
Had a corporate on-site shoot today, went well & finished the main editing at 8pm. Got home & my lovely Lee had a gorgeous dinner ready which I scoffed in 5mins!
Really tired tonight but buzzing with thoughts about what we haven't done yet so spent the eve watching animal shows on YouTube.
Loads to do tomorrow but will hopefully worry about that on wakening & will finally achieve that allusive 'full nights sleep'!

On December 7th 2016 Lee & I are embarking on the travel adventure of a lifetime! Starting in Sydney, we will be driving a campervan across Australia, meeting up with friends along the way & finally arriving in Perth in time to spend Christmas with family.
After our antipodean antics we are flying to Delhi, India, for a 5 day visit where we be traveling up the country to Agra to see the beautiful Taj Mahal, taking in as many interesting sights, sounds and smells along the way as we can, in the short time we have!
To say I'm excited is an understatement, the trip has been booked for nearly 12 months and now it is only 2 weeks away and galloping up on us at a rate of knots!
This is my first attempt at a blog on my Website which I will attempt to link to my Facebook page but as it's my first attempt I'm not sure how successful it will be!
Whatever happens, I will be sharing photos of our adventures along the way & I hope you enjoy following my posts.
For anyone wanting to book a shoot, please note I will be unavailable from 1st December until 13th January 2017 but I look forward to hearing from you on my return.
