Had a fantastic couple of days with Maria & Ash but sadly time to say goodbye. They've been amazing hosts and we can't wait to repay their hospitality next time they're over in England :)

Having been bitten by something last night I'm suffering from a bit of a swollen right hand today so will probably be taking it easy on the photos for a few hours as it's quite painful holding the camera & need to recover in time for the quokkas tomorrow so today's blog will be quite sparse!

Nearly at Jamie & Claires and it's 38c!

After clearing out the van and attempting to put everything back in the cases from where it came (plus some extras!) we were about ready to go off to the beach when something caught Claire's eye. With a 'what the hell is that?! Lisa you'll want your camera!' we were treated to this amazing spectacle..

Spider wasp V Huntsman spider!

I'd already photographed one of these wasps and after Googling it https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider_wasp had discovered that they kill huntsman spiders but today we saw it with our own eyes! It dragged the spider along the patio at an unbelievable speed and when I went closer the wasp dropped it and came towards me (I might've said a swear word at this point!) I've also videoed it so will try & put this up at some point.

Off to Hillarys & City Beach for a barbie (cooked by Jamie) & to watch the sunset :)
